I can die in peace knowing I’ve edited a piece featuring Carmen Maura. This was to announce the premiere of Manolo Caro’s second Netflix series, following La Casa de las Flores. Directed by Miquel Diaz Pont, the tense piece features the main characters repeatedly uttering anguished lines — including the series title itself: Someone Has to Die. An interesting fact: the animated title graphic reveal — combined with the sound design of the gunshot and fluttering pigeons — which I created, was later used in the actual series’ title reveal.
